Homework Policy
In order to get the maximum advantage of instruction homework will be assigned two or three times a week. Students will be expected to record their assignments in their planner.
All home work must be done on loose leaf paper (NOT in science journals) and may be written in pen or pencil or typed on a computer. Students should make every effort to make their work neat and readable.
All work must include a complete heading including the student’s name, the date, the class, and the assignment title or page numbers.
Late homework will be accepted for 75% of earned grade. Late homework is defined as homework not completed by due date or missing on due date. The exception to this rule is if you have an excused absence or tardy. All late work must be turned in within one week of due date otherwise the score of 0% will be marked.
Missing assignments due to an absence must be completed within three days upon return to school. If the assignment is turned in later than the allotted time, it will be viewed as late homework, hence receiving 75% of earned grade.
Students are encouraged to seek proof-reading assistance from fellow students and family on projects.
